USS Houston (CA-30) at Houston, late 1930s
Here we see the Northampton class heavy cruiser USS Houston (CA-30) during a visit to her name-sake city of Houston. The formal nature of the visit is demonstrated by the greeting party on the jetty and the crew lined up on the foredeck. Presumably the small boat contains the ship's officers heading to shore.
