USS Henley (DD-391) at sea, 2 May 1938
Here we see the new Bagley class destroyer USS Henley (DD-391) at sea on 2 May 1938, with the old four-stacker USS Zane (DD-337) in the background. Seeing the two ships together gives some idea of the increase in the size of destroyers, with the newer vessel having super firing guns and a larger and wider bridge structure.
