Avengers and Wildcats on USS Guadalcanal (CVE-60)
This picture of the Casablanca class escort carrier USS Guadalcanal (CVE-60) was taken from the blimp ZP-24 on 28 September 1944 and shows here with a deck load of Avengers and Wildcats. This picture was probably taken between two of the hunter-killer anti-submarine sweeps she carried out in the second half of 1944.
