Combat Information Centre on USS Guadalcanal (CVE-60)
Here we see the Combat Information Centre on the Casablanca class escort carrier USS Guadalcanal (CVE-60) on 3 June 1944. Note the large glass panel being used to keep track of known contacts. This was the day before the carrier and her group captured the U-boat U-505. The u-boat was taken into the US Navy as USS Nemo and used to test out the capabilities of German submarines.
