USS Dale (DD-4) fitting out, 1902
Here we see the Bainbridge class destroyer USS Dale (DD-4) while she was still fitting out. Note the plinth for the forward 3in gun on the platform in front of the funnels. The workmen give a good idea of the size of the ship.
