FM2 Wildcat crashes on USS Core (CVE-13)
Here we see a Eastern Aircraft FM-2 Wildcat crashing into the port stacks on the Bogue class escort carrier USS Core (CVE-13) while landing on 16 April 1944. The aircraft is held up by the carrier's funnels, which were carried on the side of the carrier.
