USS Cogswell (DD-651) after early 1950s refit
Here we see the Fletcher class destroyer USS Cogswell (DD-651) after the early 1950s refit in which her middle 5in gun was removed and three twin 3in gun mounts were added. One can be seen on the rear superstructure (with the left hand gun barrel almost hidden), and a second on the starboard side between the funnels.
