1901 Figurehead of USS Cincinnati (C-7)
Here we see the new figurehead installed on the Cincinnati class protected cruiser USS Cincinnati (C-7) in 1901, towards the end of a long period of repairs. The figurehead replaced a shield with the US flag that can be seen in earlier photos.
