Hanger full of P-40Fs on USS Chenango (CVE-28)
Here we see a group of P-40Fs in the hanger of the Sangamon class escort carrier USS Chenango (CVE-28) in October 1942. They were being ferried across the Atlantic to take part in Operation Torch, and the carrier also had a sizable deck load of P-40s.
