Sickbay Ward on USS Charger (CVE-30)
Here we see the sickbay ward on USS Charger (CVE-30), showing a mix of one, two and three tier beds. The picture was taken on 3 August 1942, a few months after she had been commissioned into the US Navy (having originally been converted for the Royal Navy). She was used as a training ship, so the sick bay probably didn't get as much use as on more combat oriented ships.
