USS California (BB-44) in Straits of Juan de Fuca
Here we see the Tennessee class battleship USS California (BB-44) in the Straits of Juan de Fuca in Washington State, on 25 January 1944, a few months before she finally returned to the war zone after the repairs and upgrade that followed her being sunk at Pearl Harbor. At this point she was painted in camouflage measure 32, design 16D
