USS California (BB-44) on Navy Day, Los Angeles, 1920s
Here we see the Tennessee class battleship USS California (BB-44) at Los Angeles for Navy Day. The online DANFS caption says this picture was taken on 28 October 1944. However the California was in the Pacific on that date, and the aircraft on the catapults appear to be Vought UO-1s, which were in service in the 1920s, so this is probably 1924.
