USS Block Island (CVE-21) fitting out at Seattle
Here we see the Bogue class escort carrier USS Block Island (CVE-21) fitting out at Seattle Tacoma Shipbuilding in March 1943. Both of the elevators are lowered, so we can see just how much of the width of the flight deck they required.
