Hosing down 5in gun in USS Beale (DD-471)
Here we see some of the crew of the Fletcher class destroyer USS Beale (DD-471) hosing down her forward 5in gun after a shore bombardment, almost certainly somewhere along the coast of Vietnam during 1966. The number of shell cases below the gun shows that this was a fairly intense bombardment.
