Depth Charge Racks on USS Bainbridge (DD-246)
Here we see the depth charge racks on the stern of the Clemson class destroyers USS Bainbridge (DD-246), see at the New York Navy Yard on 17 August 1943. This was a simple gravity assisted way of dropping depth charges, and would have carried a fairly limited number of charges.
