USS Alabama (BB-8) in port, June 1901
Here we see the Illinois class battleship USS Alabama (BB-8) from the front in port in June 1901, when she was still a very new battleship, having been in commission for less than a year. We get a good view of her bridge and the forward 13in guns, and of one of her original military masts.
