P-47s buzz USS Natoma Bay (CVE-62)
Here we see two P-47s from the USAAF buzzing the Casablanca class escort carrier USS Natoma Bay (CVE-62) after taking off from the carrier to move to their new base on Saipan. These aircraft were probably from the 19th Fighter Squadron, 318th Fighter Group, which the Natoma Bay helped ferry to Saipan in June 1944.
