Here we see Sgt. Robert S. Tucker Sr. standing in front of a P-47D 'Razerback' Thunderbolt. This had more engine cowling flaps than the P-47C, but retained the earlier cockpit. During the production run of the P-47D a new 'bubble' canopy with cut-down rear fuselage was introduced.
