M3 Lee tank in the Arakan 1944
Here we see a M3 Lee medium tank during the fighting to clear the Japanese out of the Ngakyedauk Pass in the Arakan during 1944. The Lee used the original American turret, in this case with the commander's cupola removed. The lower turret used on the M3 Grant had a sizable overhand at the rear of the turret, which is missing here.
