Landing bulldozer from LST, Nissan Island
Here we see New Zealanders unloading a bulldozer from a Landing Ship Tank, which rather looms over the scene, somewhere on Nissan Island in the Green Islands, at the western end of the Solomon Islands. The tiny Japanese garrison was rather overwhelmed, which helps explain the rather peaceful scene here!
