Jolly Roger of USS Ultor, 1944

Jolly Roger of USS Ultor, 1944
Here we see the Jolly Roger flag for the U-class submarine HMS Ultor, after her return to port at the end of a patrol in which she sank five enemy ships in four days. The Ultor was based at Maddalena, Sardinia, at the time. This flag shows seventeen ships sunk and one damaged, eleven gun actions, one clock and dagger mission and one use as a signal ship for an amphibious landing.
