One of the main guns of HMAS Sydney
This picture shows one of the main 6in guns on the Chatham class cruiser HMAS Sydney after her battle with the German cruiser SMS Emden. The picture shows the paint peeling off the gun because of the heat generated by prolonged rapid fire.
