321st B.G. Headlines page 14 - 26 March 1944
Page fourteen of the 321st Bombardment Group's post-war 'Headlines' pamphlet covers the arrival of a new commander, Colonel R H Smith, a highly decorated officer with experience of heavy bomber operations, and the start of Operation Strangle, which saw the 321st begin a series of attacks on bridges to try and isolate the German forces in Italy.
This document comes from a pamphlet produced by the 321st Bombardment Group after the war, which told the story of the group's activities from 15 March 1943-15 March 1945 in the form of a newspaper.
