25-pounder at Rangoon, May 1945
Here we see gunners from the 14th Army pushing a 25-pounder field gun up the muddy banks of the Rangoon River, during the landings outside the city on 2 May 1945. The Japanese had already abandoned the city, which fell without a fight.
