War of the First Coalition - Rhine Front 1792
This clickable map shows the main battles on the Rhine Front of the War of the First Coalition during 1792. The main event during the year was the Allied invasion that was defeated at Valmy, but that began with succesful sieges of Verdun and Longwy. Soon afterwards Mainz was taken by the French, but it was soon back in Allied hands.
