The position of the fleets at around 7:00pm on 6 May 1942 (battle of the Coral Sea). The main Japanese fleet has moved south, into an area that the American carriers passed through earlier in the day. The Japanese force heading for Port Moresby is approaching the point at which it will be ordered to reverse course.
