Start of the second British attack on Jerusalem. The main thrust of the attack comes to the west of the city, with the aim of passing the north-west corner of the city and cutting the road to Nablus. Turkish resistance is much less stubborn than expected and by the end of the day the Turks have been pushed out of their strongest positions.
