End of the failed Russian attempt to recapture Vilna, then one of the most important towns in the Russian Baltic provinces. The battle ends in poor weather. The Russiana make some gains, but the Germans recapture most of the lost ground by the end of April.
War at Sea
The German G 192 class destroyer G 194 is rammed and sunk by the British cruiser HMS Cleopatra. The British ship was part of a force returning from an attack on the Zeppelin base at Tondern.
