2nd Battalion, Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders and 8th King's Royal Irish Hussars launch a raid on the Italian fortified camp at Maktila. Due to poor security in Ciaro suprise is not achieved, but the British troops are able to retreat without suffering heavy loses.
Diplomacy
Hitler meets with Franco to discuss a Spanish entry into the war and plans to attack Gibraltar. He leaves disappointed, Franco having made unrealistic demands that make it clear he does not intend to enter the war.
