Austrian forces capture the Serbian capital of Belgrade.
War at Sea
An Australian naval squadron, including HMAS Australia, reaches the Galapagos Islands on her way south from the California coast to the Panama Canal. The plan is for the entire squadron to pass through the Canal to for a West Indies Squadron, but the Australia is too long for the canal docks and she has to travel around South American instead.
