HMAS Boudica at Scapa Flow, 1917

Here we see the Boadicea class scout cruiser HMS Boadicea underway at Scapa Flow in May 1917. The Boadicea had been designed as a destroyer leader, but by 1912 she wasn't fast enough for that role, and joined the Grand Fleet. She wasn't really robust enough for that role either, and in December 1917 was converted into a mine layer.
