Looks at perhaps the most succesful Soviet offensive of the Second World War, which saw the destruction of the German Army Group Centre, Soviet troops reaching the Baltic, East Prussia and the Vistula, and broke open a hole in the Eastern Front that the Germans were never really able to fully repair. Looks at the state of the front before the offensive, both side’s plans (showing that the Soviets had a clear advantage here, with detailed well thought out plans for the offensive, while the Germans expected it to fall further south), and the dramatic course of the campaign itself
