A good guide to the most important aircraft used by the Luftwaffe from its creation in 1933 to the end of the Second World War. After a brief introduction to the aircraft in use before the war, it moves on to provide more detailed articles on the aircraft in use during the war, including sections on the advanced aircraft and long range bombers in development at the end of the war.
One slightly eccentric feature of this book is that it is an omnibus edition of two separate books on the bombers and fighters. Accordingly, half way through the page numbers start again from 1!
A strong feature of this book is the 600 photographs that illustrate the text. Amongst them you will find rare gems such as pictures of the Fw-159 or Ar-80 prototypes for aircraft that were never made in large numbers.
