Commander's Cabin of Zeppelin L49
Here we see the view looking forward inside the commander's cabin of Zeppelin L49, which was forced down almost intact in France on 19 October 1917. In the centre is the large steering wheel that controlled the rudder, with the control chains and rods going up to its right. On the right is an oxygen bottle and the eyepiece for the bomb sight. On the left is a folded parachute for the commander.
