Here we see a line of wrecked Junkers Ju 87 Stukas at El Daba airfield, after it fell into Allied hands in the aftermath of the victory at El Alamein. The aircraft look to have been deliberately wrecked, with their engines and outer wing panels all removed at the same place, or possibly used as a source of spare parts to keep other aircraft flying. In the background are aircraft destroyed in RAF raids.
