Parade of Women War Workers, June 1918
Here we see a parade of women war workers in the quadrangle of Buckingham Palace, on 29 June 1918, to celebrate the silver wedding of King George V and Queen Mary (top left). Amongst the organisations represented were a number of nursing organisations, railway and ominbus workers, Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps, the Women's Royal Naval Service and the Woman's Land Army.
