President Wilson arrives at Brest on USS George Washington, December 1918
Here we see the troop ship USS George Washington arriving at Brest in December 1918, carrying President Woodrow Wilson and his party on their way to the Paris peace talks. The George Washington had actually been built by Germany, but interned in the US in 1914 and taken over after the US entry into the war in 1917.
