A.J. Wilson (1858-1945)
Here we see A. J. Wilson , commander of the Hospital Motor Squadron of the London District, which transported wounded and sick soldiers from their hospitals to a variety of entertainments. Wilson had been deaf since childhood. In 1896 he became the first deaf person in Britain to buy a motor vehicle. He may also have invented the wing morrow!
