Warrington Crescent, Maida Vale, bombed 1918
Here we see bomb damage in Warrington Crescent, Maida Vale, during a raid on the night of 7-8 March 1918. A single bomb damaged four houses, and killed twelve people. Amongst the dead was the American lyricist Lena Ford, most famous for writing the words to 'Keep the Home Fires Burning'.
