This page from Lt D.W. Gay's 'War Effort' covers raid 43 and includes a picture from raid 44
Raid 43 was an attack on the southern marshalling yards at Villach in southern Austria on 24 April 1945. The attack was judged to be an apple.
Raid 44 was an attack on German troop concentrations south of the Po and this picture shows the bombs exploding.
Many thanks to Martin Hampton, the son in law of Lt. Gay, for sending us this material. These pages come from Gay's own private notebook which began with similar infomation to his flight log, but became more detailed, and also included a number of interesting items that had been pasted in.
