Lt D.W. Gay's War Effort - Raids 33 and 34

This page from Lt D.W. Gay's 'War Effort' covers Raids 33 and 34.

Raid 33 was an attack on enemy field guns at Lluno on 11 April 1945 but the bombs missed to the left.

Raid 34 was an attack on the 29th SS south of Argenta on 13 April 1945, the first of several attempts to hit this unit. On this occasion the enemy couldn't be seen because of thick cloud so no bombs were dropped.

Many thanks to Martin Hampton, the son in law of Lt. Gay, for sending us this material. These pages come from Gay's own private notebook which began with similar infomation to his flight log, but became more detailed, and also included a number of interesting items that had been pasted in.
