This page from Lt D.W. Gay's 'War Effort' covers Raid 18 and includes a warning note about delayed action bombs.
Raid 18 was an attack on a sugar refinery at Sarminde on 22 February 1945, which had to be aborted due to thick cloud.
The following raid used bombs with delayed actions fuses. This note is a message for the ground crews at any friendly airfield to warn them not to try and defuse the delayed action bombs if they weren't dropped on the raid.
Many thanks to Martin Hampton, the son in law of Lt. Gay, for sending us this material. These pages come from Gay's own private notebook which began with similar infomation to his flight log, but became more detailed, and also included a number of interesting items that had been pasted in.
