Vickers Wheel-cum-Track Machine from front-left
Here we see the Vickers Wheel-cum-Track Machine from the front-left, in its track driven mode. This 1920s design appears in several different configurations in photographs. In this version the bulk of the tracks would be raised to allow the front road wheels and rear idler wheel to stay in contact with the ground. The idea was to save wear on the tracks, but it was an over-complicated design and only two prototypes were built. This is the first, D3E1
