Tulagi seen from the Residency
Here we see the view from the Residency on Tulagi, with Florida Island in the background and Makambo Island in the centre. Tulagi village can be seen to the left. This appears to be a pre-war view, with a cruise liner partly hidden by the plants in the foreground. Tulagi became the hub for American forces in the Solomon Islands.
