Workers on Standard Type Ship, the Clyde, c.1918
Here we see a mixed group of male and female works on the deck of a Standard type ship being build on the Clyde, probably seen c.1918-19. The Standard Type ships were designed to be mass produced and were a precursor to the famous Liberty Ships of the Second World War.
