Spitfire over La Senia airport
Here we see a Spitfire flying over La Senia airport (Oran), soon after it was captured by the Allies during Operation Torch. A group of USAAF ground crew are looking up while examining a burnt out French fighter. The engine mounting suggests this is a Dewoitine D.520, several of which were shot down before the Vichy French in North Africa surrendered.
