Soviet Troops clearing Snow, Northern Caucasus
Here we see a group of Soviet soldiers clearing snow from a road in the northern Caucasus, probably near to Ordzhonkidze (now Vladikavkaz in North Ossetia), on the Georgian Military Highway. That area was fought over during the Second World War and has suitable mountains.
