Soviet POWs pass German column, 1941
Here we see a column of Soviet POWs captured early in Operation Barbarossa passing a column of German troops going towards the front. Tragically very few of the Soviets will have survived German captivity, as millions were deliberately starved to death in the early years of the fighting on the Eastern Front.
