Safi, Morocco
Here we see the harbour at Safi, Morocco, the target of one of the American landings during Operation Torch. US troops landed on the beach to the left of the harbour, while the destroyers USS Cole and USS Bernadou carried troops directly into the harbour, allowing the facilities to be captured intact.
