Princess Patricia inspects Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry
Here we see Princess Patricia of Connaught inspecting Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, a regiment that was raised soon after the outbreak of war in 1914 and named after her. Princess Patricia was the daughter of Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn, the third son of Queen Victoria and Governor General of Canada from 1911 to 1916. The regiment served on the Western Front from early in 1915 to the end of the First World War.
